Rokda.in – Smart Money for Everyday Indians
Money is part of everyone’s life in India – salary aati hai, bills jaate hain, EMI chal rahi hoti hai, aur beech mein savings aur investing ka confusion.
Rokda.in exists to make this simple.
This site is for Indians who want to understand money in plain English, without heavy jargon or boring textbook theory.
Who’s behind Rokda.in?
Hi, I’m Amit Kumar, the person behind Rokda.in.
By education, I’ve completed:
- B.Com
- Master’s in Economics
- M.A. in Sociology
So I’ve studied both the numbers side of money (economics) and the people side of money (sociology).
On top of that, I’ve also worked at UCO Bank, where I saw from very close how people handle:
- savings accounts
- FDs and RDs
- loans and EMIs
- day-to-day banking problems
That experience showed me one thing clearly: most people are smart, but they don’t get money explained to them in a simple and honest way.
Rokda.in is my attempt to fix that.
I’m not here as a “guru” or flashy get-rich-quick expert. I’m just someone who:
- Has gone through the same confusion about salary, EMIs, CIBIL, credit cards, SIPs, etc.
- Spent a lot of time learning about personal finance, reading, watching, making mistakes – and correcting them.
- Wanted one place where everything is explained in simple, Indian context.
So I started Rokda.in to share what I learn in a clean, practical way that anyone can understand.
What Rokda.in is about
On this site, you’ll find guides and explainers on:
- Saving & Budgeting – handling monthly income, basic budgeting, emergency funds
- Loans & Credit Cards – CIBIL score, EMIs, credit card usage, personal loans
- Investing & SIPs – mutual funds, SIPs, index funds, Demat basics for beginners
- Insurance – term insurance, health insurance, car & bike insurance, what to buy and what to avoid
- Tax & Salary – salary slip breakdown, old vs new tax regime, basic tax-saving options
The goal is simple:
Help you make better money decisions so your rokda actually grows and supports your life.
How content is written
At Rokda.in, I follow a few simple rules:
- Plain English, Indian examples
No heavy financial jargon. Whenever a technical term appears, it is explained with simple examples and ₹ amounts. - No get-rich-quick nonsense
You won’t find “double your money in 7 days” type content here. Only realistic, long-term ideas. - Honest opinions
If a product, card or app has pros and cons, both will be clearly mentioned. - Always learning
Finance changes – new rules, new products, new apps. I keep updating articles as things change.
Is this financial advice?
Important:
Rokda.in is an educational blog, not a SEBI-registered advisory service.
- The articles are for information and education only.
- They are written with care, but your money situation is unique.
- Please double-check important decisions and, if needed, talk to a qualified financial planner or CA.
In short: I’ll help you understand your options better so you can make smarter decisions for yourself.
